**Todd LaBoube Holds Off Late Charge to Win Fairbury Opener** Todd LaBoube controlled the feature from start to finish, leading 11 laps and fending off pressure down the stretch to take the opening night win at Fairbury Speedway. Daniel R Hall hunted him hard in the closing laps but couldn't find a way around, settling for second. The real story was Dave Courchesne's rocket ship drive. Starting 20th, he carved through the field with surgical precision, climbing 13 positions to finish seventh and earning hard charger honors. That's the kind of opening statement that puts everyone on notice. Up front, LaBoube's comfort with the bottom groove proved decisive on the Fairbury dirt. He picked his line early and executed it lap after lap, never giving Hall the opening he needed despite the late-race intensity. This is the kind of performance that wins championships — clinical, controlled, dominant without being flashy.
